White-Johnson earned a BA (Visual Arts) from University of Maryland Baltimore County, as well as an MFA (Graphic Design) from Maryland Institute College of Art. She is teaching at present as an instructor at the University of Minnesota School of Design, as part of their Design Justice Initiative.
