Thanks to her hard work she was named in 1999 as the Gatorade Champion of Champions Circle of Champions Player of the Year. Ross and Klineman started their partnership in 2017, however, Ross was a beach scene celebrity for a long time prior to. The fact is, she's had numerous big wins and one of them was an all-star volleyball player. Jennifer Kessy was her partner for six years, between 2007 and the year 2013. She also worked with Klineman and herself. Ross, Kessy's fellow teammate who won the world title alongside Kessy in 2009 was also significant on the an international level. They won a Silver Medal during the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. They were knocked out of the gold medal by the legendary team comprising Misty and Kerri Walsh (Jennings). Ross Jennings replaced May-Treanor when she retired. They both went on to take home the bronze beach volleyball trophy in the Rio Olympics 2016 with Walsh Jennings. Ross played for the USC Trojans in college years after she graduated high school. The time she spent in the Trojans' ranks was a memorable one. In 2000, as a freshman the Trojans' performance earned her the Pac-10 as well as NCAA Young Player of the Year awards. The Trojans made it to the Final Four. She suffered a devastating personal loss in her sophomore year, but she still repeated as an All-American. In her last two years she led the Trojans up the mountain and took home consecutive national championships. In 2003-2004, Ross was named as the most successful female volleyball player at a collegiate level in the US according to The Honda Sports Award. Ross who was an USC international relations student was a volleyball star. Margie Ross was never able to see her daughter reach the top of the beach volleyball ladder. Ross's mom Margie passed away in 2001, when Ross was still an USC sophomore. The cancer was diagnosed as breast. However, she continues to keep her mother's memory close and dear. Margie is a constant source of inspiration for her in and out of the water.
