Zoe Saldana was born on June 19, 1978, in Passaic, New Jersey, to Asalia Nazario and Aridio Saldana. Her father was Dominican while her mother was Puerto Rican. She was raised by her mother who lived in Queens. The year 2010 saw her move along with her family to Dominican Republic where they spent the next 7 years. Zoe started to discover a love for performance dance while she was living in Dominican Republic.
