Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actor. She has also produced films such as Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. As a young girl, Paula Patton was raised in the Los Angeles middle-class household. Her mother enjoyed watching films and inculcated a love for film in her young daughter as well. Paula was a fan of school co-curriculars and drama was her favorite. Paula loved acting with friends, and she participated in school stage performances. She acted in many high school plays at Hamilton Magnet Arts High School and decided to take up acting as a profession. She was enrolled in the University of Southern California's summer program, and enjoyed the experience to death. She won an assignment for PBS to produce documentaries over a period of three months. When she was successful in completing the assignment, she began becoming an assistant to the production team for television documentaries. Later, she was able to produce documentaries. However, she had always wanted to become an actress, even though she was happy at her work. Her acting debut came with a small role in Will Smith's romantic comedy Hitch. In the years since she's appeared in numerous films and television shows.
