Rosalia Vila Tobella[2] (born 25 September 1992),[3] known mononymously as Rosalia (Spanish: [rosa'li.a], Catalan: [ruz@'li.@]),[4][5][6] is a Spanish singer. She was raised in Barcelona and has been dubbed an "atypical pop star" due to her various musical styles. Her birthplace was in a family with no artistic heritage and is the youngest daughter of Pilar Tobella who runs a small business in the family that specialises in metalworks. Jose Manuel Vila, her father, was born in Cudillero. The couple split in 2019. Her 23-year-old older sibling, Pilar "Pili" Vila (born 1989) and works alongside Rosalia as her stylist and creative director. Rosalia was interested in performing arts from at an early age.
